Worksite Monitoring with a Drone

By sending out the best type of drone for the survey work at hand, Can-Explore is able to monitor changes at a worksite via the web application. Monitoring a worksite with photos makes it possible, among other things, to:

  • Follow the progress of the construction project over time via the web application;
  • Complete an information sequence that can be integrated into the Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Use images for project marketing purposes.

Creation of sequential orthophotos of worksites with web application monitoring

By flying over the entire area of a construction project, it is possible to create an orthophoto of the site assessed. Once the orthophoto is created, it is integrated into the web application. It is then possible to go back to a specific date to see the condition of the worksite at that time. Information can be directly added into the application and it is therefore easy to enhance the information gathered by Can-Explore’s team.

Orthophotos are also delivered in a standard format so they can be easily imported into any computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.

High-Definition Imagery

In addition to creating orthophotos, a worksite flyover by a drone allows Can-Explore to take high-definition images that can be used for marketing purposes. Once the images taken, project promoters or contractors can easily use the information to build and update their project portfolio.
