Our Story
In 2014, childhood friends Louis Légaré-Lapointe and Olivier Lefebvre founded Can-Explore, joined in 2015 by Tom Tardif. The trio is driven by the desire to help organizations maximize the sustainability of their infrastructure assets. Noting that many working methods are archaic (take note: the heyday of DVDs/CDs is long gone!), the trio has set out to imagine next-generation devices to modernize the underground infrastructure sector.
As the company expands its range of services, this shared vision gradually extends to other sectors. By systematically identifying the potential for innovation in its mandates—whether in civil engineering, surveying-geomatics, or software engineering—Can-Explore has been able to achieve remarkable expansion in less than a decade while maintaining a horizontal organizational structure that promotes agility and creativity.

Surveying-Geomatics
Can-Explore’s geomatics department has experienced explosive growth since its inception, assembling a multidisciplinary team of land surveyors, engineers, and surveying technicians. Our mastery of the latest spatial data acquisition technologies on the market, combined with the diversity of our teams’ expertise, allows us to provide reliable diagnostics and accurate digital representations for informed decision-making.

Can-Ex Technologies develops municipal sanitary and storm sewer inspection solutions built on a deep understanding of field realities.
The ZIPCAM 360 inspection camera enables municipalities to reduce their reliance on subcontractors for inspection programs, while helping contractors reduce operating costs by combining cleaning and inspection into the same deployment of a two-person field crew.
The DIPCAM manhole inspection camera enables a complete inspection in less than 3 minutes, with no confined-space entry and inspection data ready for NASSCO MACP™ analysis.
Complementary to these solutions, ANALYSIS software centralizes all inspection data into an optimized workflow that facilitates decision-making and the planning of priority interventions.
